w/ The New York Philharmonic
conducted by Jaap van Zweden
Thursday, June 1 @ 7:30pm
Friday and Saturday, June 2 and 3 @ 8pm
David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center, NYC
Following Julia’s truly remarkable, moving Fire in my mouth, written for the NY Phil and the women of The Crossing, we have a new work for the orchestra and the men of The Crossing. Fire in my mouth was arguably the most talked-about music event in New York’s 2018–2019 season and went on to receive two Grammy nominations. The Fire in my mouth team is back together with Annie Kaufman directing, projections, amplified sound, the strength of Julia’s innovative mind, and Jaap van Zweden’s conducting. unEarth addresses humans’ impact on our little planet, in the time of "the first generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last generation who can do something about it."*
