Jena Osman reads from her prismatic poem Motion Studies, which follows a couple hoping to shake off spiderwebs of data to live surveillance-free in a world that accepts the ubiquitous surveillance of unwilling citizens. Jena is also the author of Corporate Relations, the book that inspired Ted Hearne’s Sound from the Bench, a 2014 commission of The Crossing that was a Pulitzer Finalist.

This reading precedes our Motion Studies concert which we will sing just three days later on Sunday, November 21 at the Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill, featuring the world premiere of Justine F. Chen’s Shallow Breath and Stealth, based on Jena’s book.

Proof of vaccination is required to attend this event. All attendees will be masked, except while eating or drinking. Limited capacity, free tickets as available.
